I try showing those movies.
It just bugs me when I see the younger girls constantly dressing up as princesses. And not like normal, innocent preschool dress-up.
I mean like, they arrive at the daycare in cheap taffeta gowns and WIGS!
Girls need to grow up knowing that they are ALL princesses.
They are princesses in Christ. They are His crowned jewels!
I try telling my kids that they don’t need to wear blonde wigs to be a princess. They were born princesses!
They just need a heart of gold, full of love for Jesus and all His sons and daughters.
I still enjoy re-watching Disney movies with my friends, as long as I can use the experiences to tell my little girls how truly wonderful they all are :)
I try showing those movies.
<333 praise GOD!
your identity does not lie in your past mistakes.
you are not your faults and failures.
your identity lies in the Man who GAVE HIS LIFE to call you His own and to know you!
YOU are HIS.
THAT is your identity.
I’m driving to church and I am late for elementary worship :/
I’m behind a line of 7 cars that were at a slow creep, and I could feel the road rage begin to flicker.
Then each car- all 7- made my turn into the back roads leading to the church, and I stopped myself and thought, “y’know, God, I hope You send them all to the church.”
And all 7 went to the church.
It may not seem like much, but our church has been growing exponentially in the past few months, and it feels SO AMAZING to see so many new people accepting Christ every single week :)
hint: starts with a “k-“, ends with a “-ristian stanfill”.
i have both the donations button and the matthew 28:19 bracelet button.
i’d advise if you are looking to purchase a bracelet (picture below), leave me an ask first. the bracelets are not in yet and i don’t want you all waiting so long to recieve them.
however, if you are simply looking to donate to my mission and outreach, by all means use that one :)
AND AS AN ADDED BONUS, all who donate with a tumblr will get a PROMO A DAY for 3 DAYS as a humble symbol of my sincerest appreciation! :)
i never promo, but it’s so worth it when someone is being so selfless :)
saving up for my outreach and training is NOT going to be easy, but i am SO CONFIDENT that our amazing God will provide for me! even your smallest prayer is SO APPRECIATED! thank you everyone!
if you have any questions or comments concerning my soon-to-be-endeavors at ywam, do not hesitate to ask :))
thanks again SOOOOO much!!!
The song is called “All Of Me” by Matt Hammitt, and I was downright tired of it.
It’s an unbelievably beautiful song, with an even more beautiful message. But it seemed that every time I turned on K-love, THERE IT WAS. Even when a song is great, when it’s overplayed, you grow a bit tired of it.
But then tonight, while I’m driving to pick up some friends from the church, the deejay says, “just turn up the radio and listen to the lyrics.” so I did.
And I realized after reflecting on that outro, that THAT is exactly what Christ said about us as He took our sins upon His shoulders and suffered and died on the cross!
Hello!! We’re sinners! We betray Him. We’re broken. We fall short of Him all the time. Yet He RECKLESSLY loves us.
Like in the book of Hosea, whose wife was unfaithful to Him CONTINUOUSLY. Yet He recklessly loved her, knowing of her adulterous behavior.
God knows of our transgressions, lays the cards out on the table, and says, “yeah, I know who you are, I know what you’ve done, but YOU ARE WORTH IT.”
Ahhh does that not amaze you! How merciful and loving is this God of ours? How deserving of our praise is He?!
P.S. I’m no-longer tired of this song.
and He always will be.
i was floored. she didn’t say anything, but she looked at me. she looked at me in a way that told me my assumptions were true.
the pain i saw in her face, which i knew even during high school she’d attempt to mask as if her life depended on it (and she probably thought it did); it was just so raw, and so evident.
my friend is being abused by her live-in boyfriend.
i know that some of you have known friends like mine. or maybe you have been abused, physically, emotionally, sexually. me included.
unfortunately, it isn’t an uncommon occurrence nowadays.
i just want you to know, if you’re reading this, that you’re not alone. and you, or whom ever it may be falling victim to abuse, is precious to God. more precious than gold. He is your Father, and He sees you in your times of pain.
please, put your faith in the Father. His hand saves all who reach for it. all lips that cry His name will feel His love save them.
if you EVER need someone to talk to, but feel like there’s no one who’ll listen, know this: I WILL LISTEN.
it can be anonymous, it can be over skype, it can be over the phone. I DON’T CARE. i don’t care if you need someone at 4am, inbox me. i will listen to you.
and so will Christ.
